# Third-party notices

**Redline Wars: Fractured Order** © 2026 Jolyn Studios.

## Licensing at a glance
- **GNU GPL v3 or later:** the Redline Wars software: the engine (a fork of OpenRA), its WebAssembly
port, the dedicated server and the multiplayer node (`engine/`), the WebGPU client (`web/`), the
desktop app (`desktop/`) and the build tools. Licence in `engine/COPYING`, OpenRA's contributors in
  `engine/AUTHORS`. Source: https://github.com/jolynstudios/redlinewars.
- **Separately licensed (Jolyn Studios):** the creative files, as `LICENSE` marks them: the
Blender-built models and textures, the art packs, music, voices, sound effects and cinematics, the
website and the brand. The software licence grants no rights to the Redline Wars and Jolyn Studios
  names, logo and icon.
- Everything below is third-party material under its own licence.

Redline Wars is endorsed by neither Electronic Arts nor the OpenRA project. No Westwood or EA art,
audio, voices or video are shipped, hosted or committed.

## OpenRA
OpenRA © The OpenRA Developers and Contributors (https://www.openra.net,
https://github.com/OpenRA/OpenRA), free software under the GNU GPL v3 or later. The engine keeps
OpenRA's copyright headers; `AUTHORS` (shipped as `AUTHORS-OpenRA.txt`) lists its contributors and the
libraries it bundles with their licences: Eluant (MIT), SharpZipLib (MIT), Mono.Nat (MIT), NVorbis
(MIT), rix0rrr.BeaconLib (MIT), DiscordRichPresence (MIT), Json.NET (MIT), Pfim (MIT), Linguini
(MIT or Apache-2.0), MP3Sharp (GNU LGPL v3), TagLib# (GNU LGPL v2.1), FuzzyLogicLibrary (GNU GPL),
SDL2-CS and OpenAL-CS (zlib), FreeType (FreeType License). Also used: StbTrueTypeSharp (public
domain), Lua 5.1 (MIT, © Lua.org, PUC-Rio) and the Microsoft .NET runtime and libraries, including
the WebAssembly runtime (MIT, © .NET Foundation and Contributors; ICU data under the Unicode licence).
The LGPL libraries are used unmodified as separate assemblies; their source is available from the
projects above.

## Maps
The skirmish maps from OpenRA's Red Alert mod are by their authors: PizzaAtomica, Nuke'm Bro., Lad,
kazu., SoScared, Janitor, FRenzy, hamb, Chris Forbes, netnazgul, Seru, Kyrylo Silin, Jopani Kansaro,
Green Giant, sith_wampa, morkel, james.bong, eskimo, Wippie, Trump, The Echo of Damnation, Super
Newbie, Sprog, Scott_NZ, MicroBit, Madness, Comrade Tiki, Christian, CRLF, Blunt, A. Blunt (Luftwaffe
Edit), Blarget2, Blackened and 010010.

## Art sources
The models, textures and effects are built in this repository (`art/blender`). Where a bake starts
from an external scan, texture or model, that file is recorded in `art/sources.lock.json` with its URL,
author, licence and sha256, fetched at build time by `web/tools/art-fetch.mjs` into the ignored
`art/.sources/` directory, and never committed or fetched at runtime. Only CC0 and CC-BY 4.0 sources
are accepted; `web/tools/sourcelicensegate.mjs` enforces this. The list between the markers is
generated from the lock by `node web/tools/art-fetch.mjs --notices`; edit the lock, not the list.

Supplied inputs (`art/supplied-inputs.lock.json`):
- The soldiers (`swat-female-commando`) build on "Female S.W.A.T Tactical Soldier" by
pathumtharaka1998 (https://www.cgtrader.com/free-3d-models/military/military-character/female-swat-soldier), used under CGTrader's Royalty Free License: use in our own product,
modified, commercial use allowed; the model file itself is not redistributed, and it is not used to
train or fine-tune AI models. Modified for this game: its body became the shared soldier base and
the first Riki, refitted to the game's rig and retextured, with heads and kit from the civilians'
  base model.
- The civilians, and the soldiers' heads and kit, build on "military game character" from CGTrader
(`military-game-character`), used under CGTrader's Royalty Free License and remodelled in Blender by
Jolyn Studios. Riki was modelled by Jolyn Studios with Meshy; the dog is Jolyn Studios' own sculpt.

## Music, voices and film
- Music: "Theme", "Mechanical Groove", "Still Standing", "Reverse Order" and "Cold Start", made with Suno.
- Additional soundtrack supplied by the project owner: "Hard-Won Victory", "Quiet Burial",
"Mechanized Expansion", "Dusk Over the Field", "Solo Mission (Riki Anthem)",
"Beyond the Enemy Lines" and "We Hold the Line". Source filenames and hashes are recorded
  in `art/music/manifest.json`.
- Voices: ElevenLabs text-to-speech (the per-country announcer banks, Riki, the spy, Jackson,
shouts). Sound effects: ElevenLabs. All voices are made with ElevenLabs; text-to-speech is only
the fallback when a clip is missing. No voice actor recorded lines.
- Cinematics (website): made with Higgsfield.

## Fonts

The pre-match screens (loader, setup, account) use two typefaces under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.
They come from the `@fontsource-variable` dev dependencies at build time, are built into the bundle and
are served from our own origin — no font CDN is contacted during play. Their licences ship next to them
in the build (`web/public/licenses/`).

- Electron (MIT, © Electron contributors, © GitHub Inc.) with Chromium (BSD-style licences; the full
list ships with the app as `LICENSES.chromium.html`).
- Node.js (MIT, © OpenJS Foundation and Node.js contributors; its licence ships as
`node-LICENSE.txt`) and ws (MIT, © Einar Otto Stangvik, Arnout Kazemier, Luigi Pinca and

License 2.0 text ships on the website, in the browser bundle and desktop app as
`licenses/freehop-apache-2.0.txt`; community-node zips carry it at
  `node_modules/freehop/LICENSE`.
